The ServerSage Bastion (Control Node)

The ServerSage Bastion is a lightweight Docker-based control node that securely bridges the ServerSage platform with your infrastructure.

Acting as a central execution point, it connects to cloud or on-premise servers, manages task orchestration, and communicates with AWS Systems Manager (SSM) for seamless, secure operations across hybrid environments.

The Bastion does not need to be hosted in AWS. It can be installed on any Linux VM (cloud or on-prem) with internet access and appropriate credentials.

Choose Your Bastion Deployment Path

Depending on your infrastructure, follow one of the two setup guides below:

• Bastion Setup on AWS Deploy the ServerSage Bastion on an AWS EC2 instance using native IAM and SSM integrations.

• Bastion Setup on Non-AWS Infrastructure Register a local or cloud VM as a managed instance using Hybrid Activation, then run the ServerSage Bastion.
